Established on March 10th, 2014, at the ICSA Centre in Chennai, The South India NGOs Network (TSINN) was spearheaded by Mr. Hirsh Cashden, then Chair of Tzedek, a UK Charity. Initially comprising eight NGOs, the network was formally registered under the Indian Trust Act in Chennai. In 2018, its name was changed to The South India Neighbourhood Network (TSINN).

TSINN’s operational footprint extends across districts including Tirunelveli, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Karur, Coimbatore, Namakkal, Tiruchirapalli, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram, Villupuram, Thiruvannamalai, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Vellore, Thiruvallur, and Chennai in Tamil Nadu, as well as Chittoor, Cuddapah, and Tirupathi in Andhra Pradesh.
